The concept of an interactive museum. Museum equipment
The university management fully supports the university museum. According to the concept, the Museum should correspond to the innovative Development Strategy of the University and serve as a worthy "frame" for the history of ATSMU achievements. The Museum is equipped with modern innovative equipment and exhibits. As a result, the Museum organically combines the compactness of the premises, unlimited reserves of interactive space, high technology and modern design.
In this concept, we moved away from "exhibits" in the usual sense of the word and elevated them to a series of artistic information installations. "Installations" are divided according to the milestones of the University's development and are always made in light colors. Chiaroscuro is used to highlight details and place emphasis on objects. This is necessary to maintain the unity and organicity of the space.
In the modern world, the pace of creation and accumulation of information is accelerating, and in the cycle of information flow, tools are needed to ensure fast and effective access to various knowledge located in different sources. One of such tools is the information retrieval system (IRS), the main task of which is to provide relevant information from a large volume of data and, importantly, to create new information.
An information retrieval system is an applied computer environment for processing, storing, sorting, filtering and searching large arrays of structured information. Each information retrieval system (IRS) consists of two parts: a database (DB) and a database management system (DBMS). A special role in information systems is given to a person, a person is the direct creator of the IRS, he fills it, contributes to its configuration, and it is the person who is the consumer of the information contained in the IRS. An information retrieval system in a museum is intended to maintain a single database of museum exhibits, containing complete text and graphic information.
Achievements
1. Creation of the First Innovative Museum in the Republic and in the University.
2. Unique concept of the Museum – combination of history, modern design and the latest technologies.
