One of the main objectives of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University as an educational, scientific and innovative center is to improve and improve the efficiency of the management structure of the University and, first of all, the the implementation of strategic management mechanisms into the management structures of the universities. In this regard, the Center for Strategic Development and Management has started to function from 3.01.2017 under the order of current Rector Dr. Gulzoda M.Q.

The center was established with the purpose of strategic management mechanisms implementation, quality assurance of education service delivery with the implementation of Quality Management System corresponding to the international standards in the field of quality.

The main activities of the center are directed to the development and implementation of the policy in quality management, which is aligned to the Strategic Goals of development settled for ATSMU, and the effectiveness of the implemented Quality Management System.

Main Objectives of the centre:

• strategic planning of the development of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University and coordination of the realization of the «Strategy of Development of ATSMU 2017 - 2025», within the frame of long - term and mid - term activities of the Strategy.

• the implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2015;

• preparation of ATSMU for the delivery of internal and external audits, as well as passing the international accreditation;

• Enhancing the potential of ATSMU through the cooperation with other institutions within the frame of grant realization and Erasmus+ Program, preparation of the project proposals and actively being engaged into the Erasmus+ network;

Through the profound SWOT and PEST analysis of the past and current activities run within the university delivery along with the future of the university in the upcoming decades, the Centre has planned and developed the «Strategy of Development of ATSMU for the period from 2017-2025» aligned to the «National Strategy of development of Education until 2020», of the Republic of Tajikistan.
