History of the department

The organizer and the first head was Associate Professor Elena Gavrilovna Lokshina - a participant of the Second World War. The educational, medical and research work of the department began in September 1958. In the organization and development of the trauma and orthopedic service and the department, assistants K.L. Legkodimova, B.L. Zhukov, N. Ya. Veselov, L.A. Zeitlin. In 1967, the department was transferred to teaching the cycle of military field surgery. After leaving the republic, E.G. Lokshina department was headed by associate professor B.L. Zhukov (1969-1984). In 1983, D.U. Urunbaev was elected to the post of associate professor. From 1984 to 1992, the head of the department was Associate Professor T.F. Nurulla-Khojaev. In 1992-2005, the department was headed by Associate Professor D.U. Urunbaev. From 2005 to the present, the department is headed by Professor A.A. Razzokov.
