Scientific activity

From 2010 to 2014, together with the Department of Family Medicine № 2 ATSMU and the Republican Training and Clinical Center for Family Medicine, the department implemented the project of the scientific research "Scientific justification for further improvement of family medicine in the Republic of Tajikistan". During of the project implementation under the supervision of D.m.s., Associate professor S.R. Miraliev one doctoral dissertation was defended and two candidate dissertations were prepared for defense.

New research topic of the department: "Medico-social aspects of improving the organization of primary health care in the new economic conditions in the Republic of Tajikistan" has started in 2015. Over the past 5 years, the department has published about 120 scientific articles and abstracts in print editions of Tajikistan and abroad, in Russian, Tajik and English. Employees of the department are participants of scientific and practical conferences in Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Turkey, Malaysia, and in Tajikistan.

Since the opening of the Master program on Public Health (2007) at the Department of Public Health has been studying Public health, the Health Economy and Financing, Health care reform and management, Ethics and Health law, Leadership and communication. In total, 29 masters of public health have been trained and defended master thesis till 2019.
