Learning Activities
The subject of Oriental medicine is held in the City Medical Center No. 10 on the 5th floor (since 2017, the Istiklol Complex), consists of 4 study rooms with 10-12 seats and one psychological cabinet. In total, the department has 52 seats, with a total volume of 68 square meters. meters.
The third base of the department is located in the City Center of Vertebrology, which has 4 study rooms, a total of 52 seats and a total volume of 90 square meters.
Lectures on physical therapy and physiotherapy are given to students by the department head, professor and associate professor of the department in Russian and Tajik languages ​​in reading room No. 7, on the 2nd floor in the new building of the medical university. During practical classes on the subject of physiotherapy, students are shown physiotherapeutic procedures and apparatuses, which are located in the Medical and Diagnostic Center named after Abuali ibni Sino, City Treatment Center No. 10 and City Center of Vertebrology.
Classrooms are equipped with physiotherapeutic devices (10), stands (60), computers (6) and printers (5). Practical classes are held using the latest technology, computers and multimedia, showing videos on topics, and thematic presentations and reports for students are held.
The department is provided with teaching staff from 12.25 to 18.75 places. A total of 16.75 assistant work rates, 2.0 are laboratory assistants. The average age of assistants to the department is 48 years. Of the 17 assistants of the department, 8 are the main employees, the rest are part-time workers. The scientific degree of the department is 37.5%.
The main tasks of the department of "Physiotherapy and Oriental Medicine" are:
- to teach the mechanism of action of physical factors on the body;
- prepare students to conduct physiotherapeutic procedures on their own;
- learn the basics of physiotherapy and medical control;
- teach the mechanism of action of physiotherapy and massage;
- give a concept of treatment with the help of traditional medicine to prevent diseases, diagnosis, treatment and procedures such as herbal medicine, acupuncture and bioenergy.
The educational and methodical skills of the department are carried out depending on the educational schedules.
The course "physiotherapy" is developed and introduced depending on the latest medical concept for 4th year students of TSMU named after Abouali ibni Sino. To improve the educational process, depending on the introduced changes and innovations in higher medicine and pharmacy, special attention is paid.
Teaching and Development
At the department, to improve the educational process, teaching aids in Russian, Tajik and English are developed and every year, taking into account the introduced changes and innovations, all educational materials are updated.

The improvement of the department with three higher education programs is approved: psychiatry, acupuncture and physiotherapy. Over the past years, 49 specialists have passed ODR and work in the field of medicine and social protection of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The theme of the department is "Comprehensive rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular pathology."
USO courses are conducted by the professor of the department, MD Nazhmidinova M.N. and assistant professor of the department Alieva E.G.
The department has developed one book in Tajik, 2 books in Russian, 4 monographs (in Russian and Tajik). 19 educational and methodological developments printed.
