History of the department

At the Tajik State Medical University named after Abuali ibni Sino medical supervision and physiotherapy as a teaching cycle began in 1958 at the Department of Physical Education. The head of the department at that time was V.P. Khimich. Classes were held on the basis of the Republican Medical and Physical Dispensary by his head physician M.A. Smolyar. In 1970, I.E. Vitvitskaya became the first assistant in medical control and physiotherapy exercises. Then at the same department began to work as teachers E.N.Dvoretsky, V.V. Bivzyuk, T.K. Kulikova.

Since September 1975, a course of physiotherapy joined the cycle of medical monitoring and physiotherapy, and as a separate department of physical therapy and physical therapy with a course of physiotherapy separated from the department of physical education. The head of the department was Ph.D. E.M. Dvoretsky.

In September 1980, a balneologist, Ph.D. P.A. Mamadmurodov. In the same year, one of the founders of sports medicine and medical control in the Republic M.A.Smolyar began working as an assistant at the department, and then S.A. Amindzhanova, who graduated from the clinical residency at the same department, became the assistant to the department.

The volume of educational and therapeutic work increased every year and in 1983 was accepted by the assistant EG Alieva into the department, and in 1985 S.A.Suleymanova. The head of the department was appointed Ph.D. P.A. Mamadmurodov, who worked until 1987. From 1987 to 1992, the head of the department was Ph.D. T.K. Kulikova.

From 1989 to 1993, Ph.D. O.B. Astakhov, Ph.D. L.I. Abdusalyamova, R. B. Yuldasheva, L. P. Izmaylova.

From 1992 to 1995, the department was headed by Ph.D. S.A.Suleymanova, and since 1995, the senior teacher of the same department, E.G. Aliyeva, acted as the head of the department. After defending her thesis in 1997, EG Aliyeva entered the competition for the post of head of the department of physical therapy and physical therapy with a course of physiotherapy and worked until 2010.

Since 1999, N.V. Fattoeva has been working at the department, after completing clinical residency at the same department, and until 2010 the following people worked at the department: Z.I. Yuldasheva; S.G. Mirodzheva; R.I. Kasymova; L.A. Dzhalalova.

In 2010, after combining the departments of physical therapy and VK with a course of physiotherapy and eastern medicine, the department of physical therapy and eastern medicine was formed.
