History of the department
The development of pediatric surgery in Tajikistan is the work of a large team of healthcare organizers and surgeons. From the first steps, our service was supported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic (I.A. Sazhenin, L.V. Shansky, H.M. Abdushukurova), rector of the Tajik State Medical Institute, professor Z.P. Khodjaev, the chief surgeon of the republic, and then the rector of TSMI, professor K.T. Tajiev, Head of the Department of Hospital Surgery, TSMI, Professor N.Z. Monakov. During the first year of the clinic, the bed capacity was expanded to 160, and then to 185 beds. Of particular note is the tremendous help in the work of the clinic of pediatric surgery of chief physicians of the Clinical Hospital No. 3 of candidates of medical sciences A.K. Abdullaev, M.K. Ayubova, M.M. Odinamamadova.
N.Kh. was the organizers and first teachers of the pediatric surgery clinic. Umejanov, V.D. Bromberg, R.I. Palagina, B.A. Tkachenko, V.A. Ignatova, V.S. Jan, Sh.R. Sultonov, M.N. Nuriddinov, I.B. Khan, A.A. Azizov, I.D. Dekhkanov and others under the leadership of the head of the department, Professor A.T. Pulatova.
In 1974, the clinic and the Department of Pediatric Surgery acquired the status of the Republican Scientific Society of Pediatric Surgeons, and systematic training of personnel in pediatric surgery and pediatric anesthesiology began. Specialized departments and brigades were created, a department was organized for newborns and infants (V.D. Bromberg, M.N. Nuriddinov, I.D. Dekhkanov); Department of Emergency Surgery (B.A. Tkachenko); purulent surgical infection (I.E. Pichko, A.S. Safarov); gastroenterology and proctology (RI Palagina, Kh.A. Akhmedov); pediatric urology (V.A. Ignatova, A.A. Azizov, L.F. Stepanova); anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care (N.Kh. Umejanov, Sh.R. Sultonov, R.R. Yartiev, I.B. Khan); thoracic surgery (V.S. Yan, L.E. Kim, T.A. Abdufataev); biochemical and express laboratory in 1969 (N.R. Kadushkina, P.Yu. Shteyman); specialized admission children's surgical department (Sh.N. Davlyatmamadov, SZ Ziynidinov) in 1976; physiotherapy rooms (M.M. Nazirbekova), exercise therapy (N.N. Borisenko) in 1970; department of hyperbaric oxygenation (N.V. Ermoshkevich, F.Z. Salomov) in 1988. Since the beginning of the organization of the Republican Center for Pediatric Surgery (RCSC), there has been one, and since 1976, two X-ray rooms (S. A. Suntsova) .
In the following years, offices were organized: hemosorption (P.P. Novikov), ultraviolet blood (F.Z. Salomov), endoscopy (A.P. Trofimenko), ultrasound (A. R. Ziyoviddinov), angiography (G.N. Enikeev, G.N. Mazakov), laser therapy (R.R. Rofiev), rapid bacteriological studies (M.Sh. Muborakshoev).
In 1985, the Children's Surgical Hospital of One Day (DHSOD) was organized on the basis of the admission department of the clinic (MN Nuriddinov, I.E. Pichko), in 1993 on the basis of ГДП № 10 (the head doctor I.A. Bayzarova) is a center for pediatric outpatient surgery (TSAHDV) where surgical interventions were performed according to the principle of DHSOD (S.Z. Zainiddinov, A.A. Fayzulaev). In total, more than 50 different original and improved A.T. Pulatov and employees of the clinic of pediatric surgery of previously known operations and therapeutic and diagnostic manipulations.
The clinic staff defended 5 doctoral and 42 master's theses, issued 18 monographs and study guides, 52 methodological recommendations, received 17 copyright certificates, more than 350 certificates for rationalization proposals. The RCCA staff published more than 2000 scientific papers in central and republican journals, including 280 in the materials of conferences, congresses and symposia. 15 collections of proceedings of the department and materials of conferences, congresses, 80 methodological developments for students were issued. A major guide to pediatric surgery sections for doctors and students is currently being produced.
In 1996, at the initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic in Dushanbe, the city clinical children's surgical hospital (GKDHB) was organized with 76 beds, the 1st and 2nd surgical departments of 35 beds and a department anesthesiology-resuscitation for 6 beds. GKDHB was the base of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesiology and Reanimatology of the Tajik Institute of Postgraduate Training of Medical Personnel (TIPPMK), where refresher courses are conducted for pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists and resuscitators, in addition, emergency and planned surgical care is provided to the children's population of the city around the clock.
Currently, the Center for Pediatric Surgery has been renamed the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the National Medical Center "Shifobakhsh" of the Republic of Tajikistan (NMC RT), which remains the base of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of Tajik State Medical University named after Abouli Ibni Sino and has 197 full-time beds, the total number of beds in the Department of Pediatric Surgery is 1,500.
From 1997 to 2010 Department of Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesiology and Reanimatology TSMU named after Abuali ibni Sino was headed by the Honored Worker of Science of the RT, MD, professor Azizov Azam Azizovich. During these years, the clinic introduced many different original methods of reconstructive surgery on various organs and systems.
From 2010 to the present, the department of pediatric surgery, anesthesiology and intensive care at TSMU im. Abuali ibni Sino is headed by MD, professor Sultonov Sherali Rahmonovich. The department employs 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 15 candidates of medical sciences. Over the years, the team has developed various original methods of surgical treatment of various diseases of the organs of the chest and abdominal cavity, as well as the skeletal system in purulent-inflammatory diseases in children.
