Medical and consulting work

Medical advisory work of the department’s employees is carried out both on a clinical basis and in the form of sanitation in various regions of the republic. Over the past 5 years, advisory and therapeutic assistance has been provided to about 8,000 ophthalmological patients. All employees of the department conduct educational, scientific and medical advisory work on the basis of this hospital. Associate professors conduct consultations, examinations and rounds of patients according to the established schedule. The staff of the department, in collaboration with the clinic’s doctors, introduced new methods of surgical treatment, such as EEC with a small tunnel incision without suturing, implantation of soft and hard intraocular lenses, end-to-end keratoplasty, etc.
