PRECIOUS GIFT OF NATURE OF TAJIKISTAN

PRECIOUS GIFT OF NATURE OF TAJIKISTAN

On the basis of the city health center №15, the department of family medicine № 2, an teaching and educational event dedicated to the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development" was held. In recent years, Tajikistan has repeatedly become a platform for discussing water issues at the global level. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of Nations, respected Emomali Rahmon, since 2003 and today continues the course, actively promoting water issues in the global development agenda. As a logical continuation of these ideas, the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", which was supported by all UN member states, should become an important platform for political dialogue, exchange of information and experience, a tool for promoting the achievement of internationally agreed goals and objectives related to water resources, including those contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Why has this colorless liquid received such attention? this question was asked by a student of group 44 of the 5th year of the medical faculty Urakov Elomon to his classmates. The prepared presentation-report contains interesting facts about water:

1. The cleanest water according to UNESCO, among 122 countries, is in Finland. At the same time, about 1 billion people do not have access to water.

2. Water not only gives life, but can also take it away. 85% of all diseases in the world are waterborne. Every year 25 million people die from these diseases.

3. Where is the most water? The answer seems obvious: in the oceans.

However, in fact, the Earth's mantle contains 10-12 times more water than the World Ocean. At the same time, almost all the mass of water available on the planet is not drinkable. We can only drink 3% of the water - this is how much fresh water we have. But even most of this 3% is not available, as it is contained in glaciers.

4. There is also dangerous water. So, for example, in Azerbaijan there is water in which there is a lot of methane, so it can catch fire if you bring a match to it. And in Sicily, in one of the lakes, there are underwater sources of acid that poison all the water in this reservoir.

5. If a person loses 2% of water from his body weight, then he has a strong thirst. If the percentage of lost water increases to 10, then the person will begin to hallucinate. With a loss of 12%, a person will not be able to recover without the help of a doctor. With a loss of 20%, a person dies.

Sultonov Faridun, Ruzimatova Nigina, Saidmurodov Adham and many others who were present, who brought other interesting facts about water, took part in the discussion of the topic of the event.

Yes, water rightfully deserves special attention and attitude. There is water everywhere on the planet. And even where, it would seem, there is nothing alive. Water occupies most of the Earth's area.

Eastern wisdom says: "You are what you eat." It turns out that the water we drink is of no less importance for our health. Not all water can be drinkable. Natural water can contain mineral impurities that are harmful to the body. In addition, pathogenic bacteria can be found in natural water. Therefore, before drinking water from springs, wells, and even more so from open reservoirs, it must be rendered harmless. The simplest way is to boil.

Group assistant M.P. Nosirova I also joined the student discussion: living in the city, we most often use tap water for drinking. There are certain requirements for drinking water. In appearance, drinking water should be completely transparent, fresh and not have any odor. It is impossible to find water sources that meet these requirements in big cities. Therefore, it is necessary to resort to its purification; for this, water treatment plants are being built in cities. At present, the following sectoral programs are being implemented to solve the problems of access of the population to clean drinking water in the country: Program for the development of the water sector for 2010-2025; The program of reforming the water economy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2025. In accordance with the Program for the Development of the Water Sector for 2010-2025, by 2025 the population's access to clean drinking water should be 96.53%.

The urgency of the problem associated with water is also due to the fact that it should always be remembered that water is not only a natural wealth, a source of life, but also a natural resource, the use of which requires the presence of many components, as well as an understanding of the careful attitude to water as a vital an important resource and precious gift of nature in Tajikistan.
