WISE LEADER AND ARCHITECT OF IDENTITY

WISE LEADER AND ARCHITECT OF IDENTITY

Every year, November 16th is celebrated as the Day of the President of our young and newly independent country, dear Tajikistan. The commemoration of this historic and destiny-making national day is linked to the 16th Session of the Supreme Council, which was held at the Arbob Palace. The event of this auspicious date, as the day that decided the future fate of our nation, shall be inscribed in the pages of Tajikistan’s history with golden letters.

It was on this very day that the delegates, by electing the then very young Chairman of the Supreme Council – Emomali Rahmon – unanimously entrusted him with the destiny of governance and the unification of the Tajik people. From the very first words of the President, it was evident that he was well acquainted with the noble national ideals and felt the pain and suffering of a society then gripped by acute and complex problems, with his compassionate soul and heart. Therefore, his message was that of a chosen individual and personality who would not remain indifferent to the people's anguish and hardship even for a moment.

The President’s inaugural address to the people from the tribune was: “I bring you peace!” Indeed, this merciful message brought hope to the hearts of all Tajiks across the world, acting as a life-giving balm to heal the souls wounded by social unrest. And the people quickly gained confidence in the truth of this message.

The young President dedicated himself to the phased achievement of the irreversible peace process for the Tajik people, found solutions to the complex issue of the civil war, and gradually led the nation out of the abyss of destruction. The sagacious President identified the only wise path to achieving comprehensive peace as national unity, solidarity, and cohesion, seeing the rebirth of the Tajik nation in this union.

As a result of the Unity and Mutual Understanding of the Tajik people, our dear country was not only rescued from the brink of annihilation but was also transformed into a developing, prosperous, well-maintained, and beautiful nation. With our constructive ideas, we proved to the global arena that our nation is a descendant of a noble, constructive, and wise lineage.

Consequently, the celebration of the Day of the President must be evaluated as the celebration of the day the nation was rescued from senseless conflicts, the triumph of light over darkness, and the celebration of the restoration, glory, and revitalization of the Tajiks' statehood, their ancient knowledge, and wisdom. The Day of the Country’s President is the day of the establishment of the new Tajik statehood and the ascension to the throne and authority of this noble nation. This historic date is considered a part of our national sacred values.

May the glory of the statehood of the newly independent Tajik people, achieved precisely through the tireless efforts of the President, be enduring and eternal!
