WATER - PRECIOUS TREASURE!

WATER - PRECIOUS TREASURE!

Water is one of God’s greatest blessings, as no creature on earth can live without water. There is no life without water. We would like to express our opinion on this issue. We must take care to save water and not waste it, because it is a sin to waste it. Humanity has needed water since birth, as it was said:

Water is the basis of life on earth

It is necessary for everyone around:

Plants, animals, humans,

Use it carefully, my friend!

Over the 30 years of Independence, Tajikistan has achieved significant success in all areas and now occupies a worthy place among the developed countries of the world.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon set the following task for us: Water is a treasure of nature, take care of it. At the suggestion of our esteemed President Emomali Rakhmon of the United Nations, 2003 was declared the Year of Fresh Water, and subsequent years, i.e. the years 2005-2015 were named the Decade of Action “Water for Life”.

Today, 2018-2028 has been declared the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”. On March 17, 2003, the President of the country delivered a speech at the World Conference on Water Management in Kyoto, Japan, reaffirming that water is the source of life and the best miracle of nature.

Subsequently, Tajikistan’s initiative to declare 2013 the International Year of Water Cooperation, as well as other initiatives, including the International Year of Sanitation, also received full support.

Proposing to declare 2005-2015 the Decade of Action “Water for Life” and on December 22, 2016, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution to launch the third international program “Water for Sustainable Development”. This program will run from 2018 to 2028. The resolution was unanimously supported by 190 UN member states.

The goal of the New Decade Declaration is to build on past decades by taking action and making new efforts to address existing problems and challenges. Thus, more than 4 times, at the initiative of the Leader of the Nation, important international high-level events on health issues and drinking water resources were discussed and brought to the attention of countries around the world.

In addition, at the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the United Nations, a high-level event on drinking water issues was held in Dushanbe, such as the mid-term comprehensive review of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life” in June 2010. Water cooperation in August 2013 and the International Conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life” in June 2015, a confirmation that it can serve as an example for the decade.

During the conference, the head of our state noted that the price of water in the world is higher than the price of oil and gas.

Yes, these proposals and remarks of our esteemed President Emomali Rakhmon are not in vain, but are aimed at humanity.

Because water is an important factor of life on planet Earth. According to statistics, every year more than 2 million people around the world suffer from a shortage of drinking water. Unhygienic drinking water kills more than 5 million people and infects 3 million people worldwide. At the same time, 1.2 billion people around the world do not have access to safe drinking water. More than 3 billion people are also deprived of basic sanitation. From year to year, the volume of drinking water on Earth is decreasing, and water resources are declining.

Water is also a source of healing for the sick. Abuali ibn Sina said that water preserves health. In terms of the number of healing springs, Tajikistan ranks first among other countries. Water is the source of life. All beings on Earth need water and enjoy it. The poet says about this:

Whatever water, friends, did not meet,

We are all responsible for its safety.

In fact, nature is full of greenery, gardens, roads, mountains and chains. We know that water is the main food in a living organism. No creature can live without water. From this we conclude that water is one of the blessings of God. We must protect it from pollution and waste, don’t let a single drop go to waste.
