WATER IS A PRICELESS TREASURE AND A SOURCE OF LIFE

WATER IS A PRICELESS TREASURE AND A SOURCE OF LIFE

It is known that 71 percent of the globe is surrounded by water (oceans, seas, glaciers, rivers, lakes, etc.). Most of the world's water resources are saline, and freshwater accounts for 2.35 percent.

Water occurs in nature in three forms: liquid, solid (ice, snow, hail) and vapor (steam). Water freezes under the influence of cold temperature (fresh water at 0 degrees, salty ocean water - 2 degrees below that), evaporates under the influence of heat and boils at 100 degrees. Most of all living organisms are made up of water. Human life and all kinds of animals and plants cannot exist without water. The amount of water in a child's body is 70-75%, a middle-aged person is 60-65%, and an elderly person is 50%. It should be said that the amount of water in different human cells, tissues and organs is not the same.

There is more water in the tissues of the liver, nerves, kidneys, blood and muscles, and there is a small amount of it in the bones. Depletion of water in the body leads to blood clotting in the veins. The water that the human body swallows is removed from the body after 3-4 hours through the organs of excretion - kidneys, skin, lungs and intestines. For example, kidneys - 60%, skin - 32%, lungs - 5% - 6%, intestines - 1.1% remove water. In some countries, people suffer from a lack of clean water. More than 300 million people on the planet have to drink contaminated water.

Our Tajikistan is a place of fresh water resources. Big rivers such as Vakhsh, Panj, Kafarnihan, Sir, Zarafshan, Surkhob and others have been flowing in this mountain for centuries. These rivers enrich the cultivated lands. The equal distribution of water resources on the globe has led to the fact that there are now 1 billion in Asia. 350 million in Africa. and in Latin America, more than 100 million people suffer from the lack of drinking water. In developed countries, the third person is suffering because of the lack of clean water. Consumption of dirty water is a source of infectious diseases and causes death of people all over the world. In Africa, more than 80 percent of diseases are related to poor water quality, lack of water networks and poor sanitary and hygienic conditions of its use.

The contribution of our republic to the formation of hydrography (a branch of hydrology) of Central Asia is very great. About 90 percent of all flowing waters of the Aral Sea originate from the glaciers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. There are 985 rivers in Tajikistan, the total length of which is 25 thousand kilometers.

Tajikistan is the only country in Central Asia with a lot of fresh water resources, and due to the efficient use of water, it can make a big economic leap for itself.

It should be noted that the Republic of Tajikistan is one of the countries in Central Asia that does not allow waste of water in the efficient use and proper irrigation of cultivated lands. There are dozens of types of mineral waters in the Republic of Tajikistan, such as Faizobod, Shohambari, Almasi, Anzob, Khojaeshon, etc.

Despite its small area, the Republic of Tajikistan supplies more than 56 percent of Central Asia's water from its mountains. More precisely, the source of many rivers and springs of Central Asia is our Republic. Water from the rivers and streams of our country flows into the Aral Sea. Unfortunately, due to the unplanned use of Central Asia, most of these rivers do not reach the Aral Sea and dry up.

Humanity always pays attention to the issue of keeping water clean and using it wisely. Regarding the price of water, the founder of Peace and National Unity - the leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomal Rahmon expressed the following opinion: "Everyone should understand that the price of water is not lower than the price of oil, gas, coal and other types of fuels and energy sources." The wise protection of its sources leads to health, improvement of life, prosperity, greenness and beauty of all regions of the country.
