May 2^nd this year in the hall "Sino" of the administrative - educational building of the SEI “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” meeting of the Minister of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdullozoda Jamoliddin Abdullo with the graduates of the university was held.

Yusufi Salomuddin Jabbor - head of medical and pharmaceutical education, personnel and scientific policy Department of the Ministry of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali, rector of SEI “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” faculty members and deans of faculties were also presented at the meeting.

At the beginning, rector of the University d.m.s., professor Gulzoda M. Q, welcomed the audience and gave information about the number of graduates of the university this year. Professor Gulzoda M.Q. noted that 1,625 young people would graduate from the five faculties this year. Of this number, 322 people were studying at the expense of the budget, 138 on a quota basis and 1,165 on contract basis.

Then the Minister of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdullozoda Jamoliddin Abdullo noted that this year the distribution of specialties with the participation of representatives of the National Security Committee and the State Financial Control Agency and the fight against corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan is transparent and without such undesirable factors as bribery will pass and graduates should not be in a hurry to choose a specialty.

The Minister of health and social protection of population Republic of Tajikistan, at the same time, spoke about the shortage of personnel in the field of medicine, such as family doctors, psychiatrists, pathologists, infectious disease specialists, etc. Although every year the University graduates a certain number of students, the availability of those who are required to go to work in designated areas is not provided in full. Therefore, statistics on the shortage of medical personnel in the regions is incomplete. Given this, this issue will be monitored at the necessary level by the Ministry of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Abdullozoda Jamoliddin Abdullo, Minister of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan spoke about high sense of humanity and patriotism of true heirs of Sino and noted that it is very symbolic that this year 17 graduates of SEI “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” applied for volunteer service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, and of course, after returning from service in the homeland they will be supported by the Ministry, and they will be given the specialization according to the international standards.

Head of the department of medical pharmaceutical education and personnel and scientific policy of the Ministry of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusufi Salomuddin Jabbor on the changes made this year in the process of distribution and obtaining specialties. It was noted that during the placement priority is given to students who graduated from the University with honors. Also the mobilization of graduates takes into account the needs of different regions of the country for specialists.

In the continuation of the meeting, various questions were asked by the graduates regarding further activities in the field of health and social protection of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the continuing process of medical education, to which the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Head of the Department of Personnel Policy and Science of the Ministry and the rector of the University gave specific answers.

At the end of the meeting, the guests wished all the graduates of the University good luck in passing the final exams and successful completion of the university, and wished them success and good luck in their careers.
