As part of the development of international cooperation, Avicenna Tajik State Medical University (ATSMU) welcomed a delegation from the city of Tomsk (Russian Federation) headed by the Vice-Governor of the Tomsk Region.

During the visit, an official meeting was held between the Rector of ATSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Muhiddin Nuriddin Davlatali, and the members of the delegation. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of medical education and healthcare, as well as the expansion of scientific and academic ties between Tajikistan and Russia.

Special attention was given to issues of academic mobility for students and faculty members, implementation of joint research projects, exchange of experience in innovative medical technologies, and training of highly qualified specialists for the healthcare system.

The guests became acquainted with the history and modern achievements of ATSMU, visiting the simulation center, scientific laboratories, and the university’s clinical bases. The Vice-Governor emphasized the high quality of specialist training and expressed readiness to support initiatives aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to continue dialogue on the development of joint educational programs, the organization of scientific and practical conferences, and cultural events aimed at strengthening friendship and partnership between the universities of Tajikistan and Russia.
