PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "HISTORY AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY" WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION IN TERMEZ, REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
On April 14-15, 2023, in Termez, the Republic of Uzbekistan, an international scientific and practical conference “History and prospects for the development of ophthalmology” was held with international participation, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Hero of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Mukhamadiev Rakhman Omonovich, which was attended by prominent scientists ophthalmologists from the republics of Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India and other countries.
I would like to note that with Professor Rakhman Omanovich, the employees of the Department of Ophthalmology are always in close contact in the scientific direction in the training of scientific personnel and in the practical direction of providing biomaterial for the treatment of patients with corneal ulcers.
Our republic was represented by employees of the State Educational Establishment “TSMU named after Abuali Ibni Sino”, head of the department of ophthalmology, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Mahmadzoda Sh.K., assistants of the department Karimov M.B. and Khaidarov Z.B.
At the plenary session, Mahmadzoda Sh.K. addressed the participants of the conference with a welcoming speech, who congratulated the hero of the day on his 75th birthday on behalf of the entire staff of our university and wished all the participants of the conference interesting reports, new knowledge and exchange of experience.
It should be noted that two reports were planned by our participants, which was reported at the highest level.
The first report on the topic "Ocular manifestations of rhino-orbital mucormycosis" - Karimov M.B. Senior Lecturer of the Department of Ophthalmology, SEI “TSMU named after Abuali Ibni Sino.
The second report on the topic "Biocoated corneas in keratomycosis" - Khaydarov Z.Kh. Assistant of the Department of Ophthalmology, SEI "TSMU named after Abuali Ibni Sino"
The reports discussed the problems of Covid-19 complications and their prevention and treatment, as well as the surgical treatment of fungal corneal ulcers using a new bioxenoplant.
During the conference, in addition to festive events and congratulations to the hero of the day, reports on the history of ophthalmology in Uzbekistan, unresolved problems of diagnostics and topical issues of ophthalmology were considered within the framework of sectional meetings. The theme of the conference caused a lively and fruitful discussion.
