The department of otorhinolaryngology named after Ishoqi Yu. B. conducted a seminar titled "The threat of terrorism and extremism to the international community". This event was attended by the vice- rector for education, c.m.s., associate professor Ahroriyon Z.A., head of the department of otorhinolaryngology, associate professor Davronzoda M.D., along with faculty members and clinical residents of the department. It is regrettable that the modern world, already facing numerous challenges, witnesses the destruction of nations due to violence, looting, and mass casualties. Notably, extremist groups in the Middle East, Europe, and America exploit Islam to further their own harmful agendas, claiming to establish an "Islamic State" while engaging in acts of terror. As the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his Excellency Emomali Rahmon has stated: “Terrorism has neither religion, faith, nationality, nor homeland.” Indeed, no authentic religious or cultural values endorse violence against civilians, nor does the national ethos of any society support harm against innocents, particularly children.

Today, nations across the region and the world increasingly confront the grave challenges of extremism, radicalism, and religious-sectarian terrorism, often appearing under the guise of Islamic ideology. It is essential for the global community to address this threat and develop sustainable solutions to counteract its influence.

Additionally, the vice-rector for education c.m.s., associate professor Ahroriyon Z.A., shared his perspective on the importance of societal participation in combating terrorism and extremism. He emphasized that fostering national self-awareness is a crucial approach to counteracting insurgent activities within society. National self-awareness encourages individuals not only to combat terrorism and extremism but also to actively contribute to the stability and prosperity of their homeland and nation.
