After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a new stage began in the political and economic life of the Union republics, including Tajikistan. The union republics became independent and free states, and this led to the fact that each independent state adopted its flag as a symbol of statehood, sovereignty and state independence. Our nation inherited the flag from its ancestors, and the origin of the flag has a very ancient history. If we look at symbols from the point of view of research and analysis, each symbol illuminates the history, destinies and adventures of peoples, nationalities, nation and state, reflects the culture and civilization, dreams and aspirations of the people to a greater or lesser extent.

November 23^rd, 2010, Leader of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in honor of the Tajik flag, explained the essence of its colors in a televised address: "The colors of our national flag represent the historical path of the Tajik people. the value of its national culture and politics. Red is the symbol of the struggle for freedom and independence, white is the color of happiness, dreams and hope, green is the symbol of prosperity, pride and eternity. In the middle of the flag there is a crown and seven stars, it is a symbol of the historical roots of Tajikistan's independence. It should be noted that in November 1992 at the historic session of the XVI Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, which entered the history of the new statehood of Tajiks as a fateful and happy people's meeting, the first symbol of our independent state - the national flag was adopted.

As for the order of use of the State Flag of Tajikistan, the "Regulations on the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan" came into force on December 11, 1992, and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On State Symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan" came into force on May 12, 2007. Republic of Tajikistan". On November 20, 2009 by the Order of the President of the country November 24 was declared the Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is worth noting that our State Flag, along with the Constitution, the National Anthem, the State Emblem, is considered one of the main state symbols and shrines, and all residents of the country are proud of the state and statehood, strengthening of national independence, protection of its achievements and, above all, national unity and constant efforts for the prosperity of the land of ancestors lead the way.

Naturally, for every person who has love for the Motherland in his heart and eyes, the shining of the national flag gives him a sense of self-knowledge and respect for the highest values of patriotism. An example of these words is when the national flag is raised in honor of a victory in an international sports competition, tears of joy flow from the eyes of the winning athletes. Respecting and honoring the national flag as a symbol of the independent state of Tajikistan should be a historical mission, filial duty and civic duty of every person in society. At the same time, our task is to educate the youth of our nation in the spirit of respecting and addressing national values and paying tribute to them.
