Military interests of the Republic of Tajikistan in modern conditions are the interests of survival of the country, including protection of state independence, territorial integrity of the country, national integrity and unity, formation of a sense of patriotism and protection of the country from military threats and danger. In this context, creation of strategic balance, strengthening and expansion of strategic cooperation as an important part of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan plays an important role in the system of military interests of the country. Strengthening and defense of military interests is the basis for the activities of the National Army of the Republic of Tajikistan and other structures of the country. Because the priority areas of ensuring military security of the Republic of Tajikistan are not only in the center of domestic policy, but also occupy a special place in the foreign policy of the country.

Our Armed Forces are one of the most important achievements of the era of state independence, and they proudly perform the sacred and honorable tasks entrusted to them by the Tajik state and people in protecting the security and peace of the state and society. maintaining the foundations of statehood and ensuring the peaceful life of the noble people of the country. On December 18, 1992, on the basis of the "People Front" and the forces that supported the Constitutional Government in those years and His excellency Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan made Decision on "National Army of Tajikistan was established" was signed, and on February 23, 1993, the first military parade was held in the capital Dushanbe, and this day was officially declared the date of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be remembered that the National Army of the Republic of Tajikistan was formed during the period of imposed civil war, i.e. in extremely sensitive and difficult historical conditions, where its material and technical base was equal to zero. It was under these conditions that our country was dragged into the vortex of terrible conflicts by self-serving and deceitful patriots and enemies of the constitutional system, who criticized the values of secularism in the new state system. The revival of the National Army was an achievement that added qualitatively new achievements to the country's achievements in the context of the revitalization of nationhood.
