THE CONTRIBUTION OF PHYSICS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN MEDICINE

During the period of independence of the country, the attention of the Government and the state of Tajikistan, especially the head of state his excellency Emomali Rahmon, has increased to the development of natural, exact and mathematical sciences, scientific workers of the country.

In this regard, it should be emphasized that physical science makes a significant contribution to the development of modern medicine.

Physics plays an important role in medicine - all basic laws of physics are applicable to living beings. Mechanics is related to biomechanics (muscle contraction), blood movement through blood vessels (hemodynamics), generation and transmission of electrical energy in living cells (cardiomyocytes and neurons). Thanks to the discoveries of physicists it is possible to understand many processes of living organism, to develop new methods of diagnostics and treatment.

Thus, the work shows the close connection between physics and medicine. Achievements in physics and technology research are widely used in medical research and make it possible to create new, more accurate and reliable tools and equipment that save many lives.

Physics is the theoretical basis of all physical methods of treatment and diagnosis and equips medical professionals with knowledge of the principles of construction of equipment used for therapeutic purposes. This knowledge is necessary for technically competent use of the whole complex of modern medical equipment.

Thus, the importance of physics for medicine is determined by three conditions:

1) physics provides the basis for the correct understanding of biological processes;

2) is the theoretical basis of modern medical equipment;

3) equips knowledge of physical methods of diagnosis and clinical treatment, as well as the study of complex biological systems.

It is difficult to point out a field of medicine in which certain laws of physics are not applied. There are many medical specialties directly based on the use of physics: radiology, ophthalmology, physiotherapy and many other fields of medical science. New diseases require new methods of indication, diagnosis, and treatment, which forces physicists and physics specialists to design, create, and improve devices for medical needs.

Therefore, the knowledge that these two sciences have developed together and under the influence of the needs of both is necessary not only for those who are connected with these sciences, but also for every person who wants to expand his or her worldview. And every person can become a historical figure who will contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
