The city-level round of the republican contest “Tajikistan - My Beloved Homeland” has finished in Dushanbe
The city-level round of the republican contest "Tajikistan - My Beloved Homeland" has concluded in Dushanbe city. Of the 348 participants, 115 received honorable mentions, according to NIAT "Khovar", citing the Information Department of the Office of the Chairman of Dushanbe. The heads of cultural departments from the city's districts were presented with "Gratitude" awards from the Executive Body of State Power of Dushanbe for their significant contributions and for organizing the contest at a high standard. Additionally, diplomas and cash prizes were given to the winners in various contest categories. The Republican Contest "Tajikistan - My Beloved Homeland" has been held under the auspices of President of the Republic of Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon since 2019.
The contest aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Tajik people, promote and revitalize national art, honor and uphold ancestral traditions, enhance the professional quality of new musical compositions, performances, and expertise in fine arts, sculpture, crafts, and tailoring. It also seeks to identify the finest examples of melodies, songs, collections, and artworks. This year, in accordance with the Regulations and the approved plan, the contest results for the first and second rounds were compiled across the cities, districts, and centers of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast, Sughd and Khatlon regions, Dushanbe city, and districts of republican subordination. A total of 5,302 participants entered the first round, with 2,755 advancing to the second round. During the second round, which took place from June 10 to June 25, 2024, 525 out of 2,755 participants progressed to the third round.
