Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the founder of national peace and unity, leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, said: “A nation that loses its national thinking, history, literature, language, rituals and cultural values cannot maintain its independence. For a nation that does not preserve its historical memory, whether it wants it or not, its thinking becomes enslaved and loses national independence. Not defending a nation’s history leads to denial of the past.”

Extremism and terrorism are among the undesirable manifestations of modernity, and the fight against them is the duty of every person. Terrorism and extremism, like the plague of the century and other undesirable phenomena, create threats and dangers to the peace and security of the planet and the stability of the state, destroying the peace and unity of peoples and nations. However, no society will develop without providing social protection.

The undesirable phenomenon of terrorism and extremism has become an unprecedented global danger and has entailed tragic and destructive social, political and spiritual consequences.

According to data, in recent years, more than a hundred countries around the world have become targets of destructive acts of terrorists, as a result of terrorist attacks, hundreds of thousands of civilians have died and millions of people have fled their homes.

The fight against terrorism, extremism and other threats of our time is one of the important areas of activity of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and its domestic and foreign policy. The Republic of Tajikistan is at the forefront of the fight against terrorism and extremism in the modern world and, with its stable policy, makes a significant contribution to ensuring regional and international security.

At the new stage of development of society, one of the most important issues of our time is to strengthen the protection of state independence, preserve national unity and ensure peace and stability in the country, and these creative actions are the primary task of every proud and devoted resident of his native Tajikistan.

Unfortunately, there are certain difficulties on the path of such constructive actions and ensuring a bright future for our dear country. In particular, in modern conditions, the fight against such extreme phenomena as terrorism and extremism has become a real necessity.

In our time, full of contradictions, problems, disagreements and contradictions, the growth and spread of extremism and terrorism, as well as other undesirable and dangerous manifestations and phenomena, is at an extremely serious level.

Extremism - (derived from the French word "extremisme" and the Latin "extremu"), its original meaning is extremism, extremism, extreme thoughts and actions that go beyond what is permitted.

An extremist is a person who is a supporter of extreme actions in his activities. These actions and manifestations can arise in all spheres of human activity - in religion, politics, ideology and even science. In one of the messages of the great leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, it was emphasized: “Unfortunately, there are trends in the Islamic world, some of whose actions are aimed at confusion and division. This contradicts the essence of the religion of Islam and proves it.”

Unfortunately, in the current period, terrorist and extremist activities of various forces have intensified in the international arena. Currently, terrorism and extremism have become a global threat and are troubling the modern world.

The growth of extremist and terrorist crimes contributes to the expansion of international terrorism, the activation of extremist elements, the recruitment of young people into the ranks of extremist and terrorist organizations, and their participation in armed conflicts in foreign countries.

Independence, unity and peace are blessings that must be protected. Experience has shown how difficult it is to maintain and strengthen independence and unity and how rare an achievement they are considered along with the development of the economy, culture and society. It should be noted that these phenomena are the basis of any positive relationships in society. In a state where peace, stability and security reign, it is possible to carry out effective and efficient international politics. Since the process of globalization has both negative and positive aspects, we must study its positive aspects and be more united to protect our national interests.

Terrorism is a policy based on the constant use of terrorist acts. Synonyms for terrorism (Latin terror - fear, terror) are concepts such as “violence” and “intimidation”. Terrorism is defined as the ideology of violence and the practice of influencing public consciousness, the decision-making process of government authorities and international organizations, associated with forceful influence, intimidation of the civilian population or other forms of illegal violent actions.
