Today, terrorism and extremism in political form under the guise of "political struggle are involved in the process of state governance of some countries (e.g. Afghanistan). On the other hand, as the Leader of the nation, His excellency Emomali Rahmon, has repeatedly noted, neutrality and indifference to the fate of Afghanistan lead to an increase in violence, humanitarian disaster and serious disruption of security and stability in the countries of the region and the world. Therefore, given this risk, it is very important for the countries of the region to analyze the roots of this negative factor, its generating factors and the conditions of its emergence as a political process. In this direction, the global and regional nature of terrorism and extremism should be studied separately, and its proper study will help to prevent these negative factors in the future. The problem of extremism and terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan is not only of domestic political nature, but also managed from abroad and used in the interests of foreign countries. Some Muslim countries use religious beliefs of the people for their political purposes, and this leads to the emergence of extremist movements.

The basis of dialectics is the axiom of laws of development of nature, society and the theory of cognition of real truth, the doctrine of versatile and complete contradictions in historical development. According to this, such phenomena as "ISIS", "Al-Qoida", "IRP", "Wahabiya", "Salafiya", "Hizb-ut-Tahrir" and similar terrorist and anti-national movements are not something new. Such movements have existed in the history of mankind for millennia. In other forms, on the basis of other ideas (religious and non-religious), with other patrons, using other means, with other names, with other persons.

Terrorism is subdivided by modern scholars into ethno-terrorism, left-wing terrorism, right-wing terrorism and religious terrorism. It is important for Tajikistan to identify the source of religious terrorism, since most of it consists of the Muslim population and this religious terrorism is at its core. As a result, under the global threat of extremism and terrorism, we must equip state security with a new ideology of fighting terrorism and extremism in order to be able to eliminate it in a timely manner.

Experts estimate that if cyber terrorists attack, 20 percent of medium-sized companies will go bankrupt within hours, 16 percent of large companies within days, 33 percent of banks within hours and 50 percent of large banks within 2-3 days.

All this forces us to study more about all forms of terrorism and extremism.
