Students of the Young Scientists’ Society of the Phthisiopulmonology Department at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University participated in the scientific-practical event “Phthisiology Marathon”, organized by the Saratov State Medical University named after V. I. Razumovsky of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The marathon consisted of several stages, including essay writing, knowledge testing, and a scientific poster competition. Following the results of the event, the following fifth-year students of the Faculty of Medicine were awarded certificates of participation: Shabnam Boboshoeva, Mehrona Bakhorakova, Sipehr Musoev, Umedjon Gaforov, and Makhina Abduvalieva.

Participation in the marathon became an important professional experience and confirmed that effective tuberculosis control requires focused work with vulnerable population groups, strengthened social support for patients, and enhanced multisectoral collaboration.
