The fight against terrorism in Tajikistan is focused on the detection, prevention and suppression of unlawful acts, the inevitability of punishment for any crime and the protection of the rights of every citizen to personal security, regardless of nationality, citizenship, religion, views and beliefs.

Modern society is faced with many types of terrorism, and the term has lost its clear meaning. Consequently, the need to periodically edit the law aimed at combating extremist and terrorist manifestations is very relevant.

Despite all these difficulties, the Government of Tajikistan has realized that the way to eradicate terrorism can be found only when stability and mutual consent among all segments of the population is ensured in the country. And with this need in mind, a great deal of work has been done, along with the general fight against terrorists, to find ways to resolve conflicts through political dialog.
