November 8^th of this year, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a meeting of Minister Rahim Saidzoda with Mr. Magnus Magnusson, Acting UNESCO Regional Director in Almaty, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and UNESCO to support implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all).

Minister of science and education Saidzoda R. during his speech has emphasized that one of the his activity’s direction in accordance with the education and science aimed with the UN and issues on education, science and culture (UNESCO). Effective cooperation with the UNESCO and Ministry of science and education of the Republic of Tajikistan on implementation of programs and projects on education and science areas.

- We are grateful for UNESCO's constant support in the implementation of programs and projects for the development of education in the country and are taking all necessary measures to develop and expand it," said the Minister of Education and Science.

Mr. M. Magnusson, Acting UNESCO Regional Director for Almaty, further mentioned that the UNESCO leadership also expressed their gratitude for support and mutually beneficial cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, and stressed that they are ready to expand cooperation for the development of education.

- We are ready to further expand cooperation with the Ministry in the development of educational programs and plans, effective implementation of information and communication technologies, development of textbooks in science and exact sciences and technical assistance," said Mr. M . Magnusson.
