The Student Scientific Society (SSS) is an academic association of students engaged in scientific, organizational, and research activities. It operates on principles of self-governance, transparency, mutual respect, and a culture of scientific communication among students.

As per the approved plan under the vice-rector for science and innovation of the State Educational Institution “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University”, d.m.s., professor Muhabbatzoda J.Q., a regular meeting of the SSS was held on November 20, 2024, at the department of propaedeutics of children's diseases.

The session was inaugurated by the department's SSS coordinator c.m.s., associate professor G.A. Rahmanova, who elaborated on the objectives of the SSS and outlined the mechanisms for supporting students engaged in scientific activities. The meeting included the presentation of a future action plan and discussions on key performance indicators of the SSS, such as participation in scientific conferences, publications in academic journals, and research output.

Recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of the SSS were also formulated during the meeting. Faculty members and active student participants contributed to the discussions, ensuring a collaborative and productive session.

During the session, third-year medical students from group 78 of the medical faculty Tuganov B. and Soliev A., delivered a presentation titled "Respiratory Allergies in Children: Acute Bronchiolitis." The presentation addressed the risk factors for development, clinical manifestations, laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods, and fundamental principles of treatment and prevention of bronchiolitis in children. These topics were supplemented with informative slides and a video demonstration.

In the concluding segment, participants engaged in a discussion, posing questions regarding differential diagnosis of clinical symptoms and distinguishing bronchiolitis from other diseases within the pediatric bronchopulmonary spectrum.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively sharing their feedback and suggestions for enhancing research initiatives and optimizing the activities of the Student Scientific Society (SNO).

Such meetings provide an excellent platform for fostering student engagement, enabling them to broaden their academic horizons while gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
