From January 15 to 25, 2024 in Bukhoro State Medical Institute named after Abuali ibn Sino together with students of Turkish Medical Faculty of the Institute held a training seminar on "Child nutrition and prevention in pediatrics". Based on the cooperation agreement between the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University and Bukhoro State Medical Institute, four senior students of the university Niyozmatova Nigora, Kadirova Madina, Juraeva Shukrona and Sobirov Dilshod actively participated in the academic exchange program.

From the first day, interactive and lecture sessions were conducted by experienced teachers from the University of Medical Sciences of Turkey. The training took place on the basis of the multidisciplinary children's hospital in Bukhoro. At the seminar participants were familiarized with the peculiarities of nutrition of newborns, the beneficial effect of supplementary nutrition on children's organism, unconditional reflexes of newborns were checked, auscultation, palpation and examination of children were carried out. It should be noted that academic exchange gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the educational process of universities of the countries and benefit from it.

In addition to the educational aspect, the program was also aimed at promoting the social and cultural development of the participants. During the trip, students of SEI "Avicenna Tajik State Medical University" familiarized themselves with interesting places of Bukhoro city under the guidance of teachers of the department of teaching of children’s diseases and together with Bukhoro students.
