From 14 to 20 January 2025, a seminar on “Basics of Scientific Research” was held for teaching staff, Master's students, and PhD doctoral students as part of the bilateral agreement between SEI “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” and NJSC “Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University.”

The lecturers of the seminar were: Baspakova Akmaral Mukhambetzhankyz -c.m.s., Professor Tamadon Aminne- PhD, Professor, Zhilisbaeva Kulyash Rakhmetullaevna- senior teacher.

During the training, the following topics were covered and mastered:

1. Writing mini-reviews: key principles and practice

2. Working in the Biorender programme

3. Familiarisation with the software and tools

EndNote management tools

4. Working in R Studio: basics of data analysis for scientific research

5. Tools for bibliometric analysis (Bibliometric analysis: tools and methods for evaluating scientific publications, CiteSpace).

6. Writing systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Differences between

research articles

7. Familiarity with meta-analysis software (RevMan,

9. Practice: Modelling data analysis

The seminar was conducted in an interactive format, enabling participants to actively engage in discussions on the topics covered and apply the knowledge gained in practice. Participants prepared and presented mini-analyses and bibliometric analyses, which significantly contributed to the development of their skills in planning and conducting scientific research.
