«PYROLA» - NEW SPREAD-19 COVID

«PYROLA» - NEW SPREAD-19 COVID

In August 2023, a new COVID -19 subspecies, Pyrola (BA.2.86), was identified for the first time, which has a number of additional mutations compared to previously identified Omicron variants. The Pyrola virus is spreading worldwide. In the fall of 2023, the virus was detected in twenty countries around the world. It is transmitted much faster than its predecessors, as Pyrola is a more "contagious" version of the familiar coronavirus. The disease runs with the intensity of "Omicron", "Pyrola" differs from other types of coronavirus in its contagiousness due to mutations in its protein structure. As of today, there are already more than 30 of them. Mutations allow the new virus to "trick" the immune system, which makes the spread of the "new covid" so rapid. The first symptoms can be seen as early as 2 days after infection, rather than 4-5 days as was previously the case. WHO fears that Pyrola's ability to bypass immunity could render antibodies (that have been developed after illness or vaccination) ineffective. But to draw full conclusions about the new form of covid, to date, scientists don't have enough research data. "Pyrola" makes no distinction between children and adults, men and women - the disease appears in everyone with the same symptoms:

·       fever;

·       sore throat;

·       loss of taste and smell;

·       fever;

·       prolonged cough;

·       weakness and general malaise;

·       headache.

A CT scan may be used as an additional diagnostic method. The new strain manifests itself as a familiar respiratory disease, so if it is mild, it is necessary to control the body temperature (take antipyretics if it rises above 38°C); use antiviral drugs as prescribed by a doctor. If you have a sore throat, you should take local remedies (lozenges, sprays with anesthetic), drink more fluids, use drops and sprays for nasal congestion / heavy runny nose, and take vitamin C. If the body temperature reaches 38°C and persists for more than two days, you feel shortness of breath and pain behind the chest - you should immediately consult a doctor. Self-medication with these symptoms, can become critical! According to the WHO, to date, no fatalities from Pirola have been registered. The virus behaves in a fairly predictable manner. The Pyrola strain, like Omicron, exacerbates chronic diseases. Patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and asthma are at risk.

Following three main covenants can help protect yourself from covidas:

·       prevention,

·       caution,

·       vaccination.

Strengthen your immune system: watch your diet, make up for vitamin deficiencies, go outdoors more often. Observe the rules of hygiene: wash your hands, rinse your nose after the street, use antiseptic in public places. If possible, do not come into contact with infectious patients. Do not forget about vaccination! Existing vaccines are still effective against the new covidae species.
