A glacier is a pile of natural ice on the ground, accumulated over years of snowfall, which is constantly in motion and moves from a few centimeters to tens of meters per day. Glaciers are considered to be the most valuable source of fresh drinking water not only for the countries of Central Asia, but also for the whole planet. According to the data, there are about 13 thousand glaciers in Tajikistan, and currently there are almost 1 thousand glaciers.
