Promoting healthy nutrition

At the department of family medicine of the state educational institution "Avicenna Tajik State Medical University" by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the staff of the department organized and conducted a practical training among the students of the 6th year of the medical faculty on the theme: Cooking healthy food from the products of local agricultural production, where the students showed a master class on cooking salads and hot food. They prepared borscht and beet salad. The table was filled with fruits and vegetables: apples, lemon, tangerines, turnips, greens, beans, cabbage, pumpkin, oyster, etc., as well as other fruits and vegetables.

Head of the department, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor M.J. Yodgorova gave a characteristic of each product of local production, which was covered with dastarkhan.

Associate professors Yodgorova M.J., Mirzokalonova M.J., Nosirova M.P., Inomzoda J.I., assistants Mukaramova D.A. and Ayubova D.H. listed medicinal properties of each product, offered instructions and recipes for cooking different types of healthy food.

The therapeutic properties of pumpkin, garlic, beet and dill were presented. Such a practical training session was to the students' liking, as they learned a lot about the useful properties of local food products, learned how to properly prepare dishes, and most importantly, they cooked and ate themselves.

I think that this approach to practical lessons on Healthy Eating can radically change the youth's view of healthy eating and can change the deplorable situation for the better.

So, let's move from theory to practice!
