NOVEMBER 6 - CONSTITUTION DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

On November 2, 2023 year, a presentation was held at the department of propaedeutics of children diseases on the topic: «Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan». The presentation was prepared by a 3rd year foreign student of medical faculty, group 83 - Mansoor H.M.

The presentation contains: The term "Constitution" comes from the Latin word "Constitutio", which means "I establish, institute". It originated during the Roman Empire, in which constitutions were called decrees of the Roman Emperors. In the Middle Ages, the Constitution enshrined the privileges and liberties of the feudal lords.

In the history of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Constitution was adopted five times: in 1929, 1931, 1937, 1978 and 1994. After the declaration of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan on September 9, 1991, at the 17th session of the Supreme Council, it was decided to continue work on the adoption of the new Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, a new composition of the Commission headed by Emomali Rahmon was approved. The Commission’s work resulted in a new Constitution with a presidential form of government, which was adopted by referendum on 6 November 1994. The Republic of Tajikistan shall be a sovereign, democratic, law-based, secular, and unitary state. Being social oriented state Tajikistan shall provide relevant living conditions for every person.
