PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE AVICENNA TAJIK STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Today, February 1st, 2023, in the auditorium of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University was conducted a press conference on the activities of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University in 2022 with the participation of 61 journalists of the mass media. At the press conference, the rector of the University, d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali provided journalists with detailed information about the activities and achievements of the university in 2022. At the meeting, Rector of the Medical University, d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali noted that the 2022 year will be considered as a successful and fruitful year in the history of Medical University, because this year has played a significant role in the development of our education and medicine. On the initiative and direct attention of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University has became the owner of a modern administrative and educational building, which raised the quality of the atmosphere of education, the general spirit of students, faculty and staff.
September 1st, 2022, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon on "Day of Knowledge" and the " Peace Lesson " lifted the veil over the symbolic plaque, opened the new administrative and educational building of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University. It is worth mentioning that the newly built educational-administrative building of the University consists of a 10 storied central building with two 4 buildings on the left and right sides and is intended for teaching and administering students. A large 1,600- seat auditorium was built in this building. With the construction of the new academic and administrative building, the university has 70 large classrooms for 20-30 people, a computer lab for 80 people, 90 workstations, 26 reference rooms, 2 lecture halls for 250 people, 2 conference halls for 80 people. seats, a meeting place and 4 teaching laboratories for the study of the finest medical science, 6 departments are also located in this building.
Scientific activity and strengthening of human power, which is considered one of the areas of activity of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, according to the University Action Plan for the implementation of the National Health Strategy Plan of the Republic of Tajikistan, "Program of development of human power and intellectual property for the period up to 2030" and "Development Strategy of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University until 2025". In order to develop and develop scientific activities and training of scientific personnel at the University there are 7 dissertation councils, including one council (D 737.005.01) under the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation and 6 other councils under the Higher Attestation Commission. For many years, young professors and scientists of the university were in need of modern research laboratories, and in light of the wise policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, distinguished Emomali Rahmon, modern educational and research conditions were created for the development of health care. Rector of the University, d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali noted that another important event of the university is the beginning of a new stage in the development of scientific research. On the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon, the "Research Institute of Fundamental Medicine" was established at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University. The Scientific Research Center is located in the academic building of the University located at the Rudaki Avenue, 139. At present, the first floor has been overhauled and conditions have been created for the construction of modern testing facilities and the installation of advanced equipment.
At the press conference, the rector of the University, d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali gave precise and exhaustive answers to many questions of journalists on various areas of the university with a clear analysis.
It should be noted that the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University is considered one of the most prestigious institutions of higher professional education in the Republic of Tajikistan and plays a key role in training highly qualified specialists in health care, development of medical science and strengthening public health. The administration and staff of the University are constantly trying to realize the goals of the State and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of quality education and to contribute to the development and strengthening of the health sector. In order to fulfill instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon to improve and adapt educational programs, to teach international standards to the faculty of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, to provide quality and modern education with current development of modern technologies and internationally recognized methods, determined.
