Improvement of the d living standard and quality of life of the population is in the focus of social policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the level of social protection of the population is enhanced through a gradual increase in wages. Ensuring a decent life for the population occupies a special place in the state policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. So, according to instructions and assignments of President of Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon salaries of workers of budget sphere, types of pensions, scholarships and social protection institutions will be step by step increased in 2011. From 30 to 40 percent, in 2012 from 30 to 60 percent, in 2013 from 20 to 30 percent, in 2016 from 15 to 25 percent, in 2018 from 10 to 15 percent, in 2020 from 10 to 15 percent, in 2021 from 20 to 25 percent.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in his message of December 23^rd , 2022 "On the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of the Republic" said: "Since the beginning of independence, the State and Government of Tajikistan have steadily moved forward in important areas of society - social protection, science and education, health care and made culture one of the main and priority directions of their policy, and is taking all necessary measures to achieve these goals".

Also, the respected Head of State Emomali Rahmon stated in his address that in order to support vulnerable segments of the population, the Government was instructed to increase the social assistance to low-income families annually from July 1, 2023 to 2025. This amount will be increased from the current 512 somoni to 836 somoni, and additionally for each child of these families in accordance with this period to allocate funds from 34 somoni to 152 somoni.

In addition, in order to improve the social situation of the population I propose:

- The salaries of law enforcement officers, military personnel will be increased by 25 percent and other employees of these agencies by 20 percent beginning March 1, 2023;

- from July 1, 2023, the salaries of employees of educational, scientific, health care, social protection institutions and scholarships will be increased by 20 percent;

I also propose from July 1, 2023:

- Increase the size of the base pension by 20 percent;

- insurance benefits that are assigned and paid on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Insurance and State Benefits" shall be indexed at the rate of inflation for the last two years, but not less than by 16 percent. , i.e. increase;

Other current pensions shall be increased by 20 percent of the basic pension rate.

The increase in wages and pensions is vivid evidence of the increase in the standard of living and quality of life, the care of the state for its citizens and the appreciation of their work. It follows from these measures that the Government of the country tries to use all available opportunities to gradually strengthen the process of social protection of the population and increase the level of welfare of people. This attention and care is an excellent indicator of the implementation of the social policy of the Government of the country. In response to these concerns, it is necessary for each of us to carry out our activities better and better than before, make a valuable contribution to strengthening peace and stability, protecting and strengthening the foundations of state independence, national unity, education and upbringing. of the younger generation, as well as the development and progress of a prosperous and free Tajikistan.
