Today, on December 26 of the current year, under the chairmanship of rector of SEI "Avicenna Tajik State Medical University", chairman of the Scientific Council, d.m.s., professor Gulzoda M.Q. was held Scientific Council of the University. During the work of the Council was heard the annual report of the University in the field of educational and methodical, scientific and innovative, educational, economic, international and medical activities. The head of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Niyozi took part in the work of the Council of Scientists and made a speech.

Vice-Rector for educational and methodical work, d.m.s., professor Ibodzoda S.T. reported and noted that the University and educational programs on specialties of the University fully (100%) passed international accreditation, adapted to the requirements of the standards of the World Federation of Medical Education and have a Certificate of Conformity. According to the results of the analysis of the above-mentioned issue, the report was recognized as satisfactory and appropriate decisions were made.

Also, a representative of the Independent Accreditation and Rating Organization-IAAR, a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance, appeared at the Scientific Council in virtual form and solemnly presented the certificate of the remaining University programs, which was considered the greatest achievement of the end of 2023 for the University.

Then the report of the Vice-Rector for science and innovations d.m.s., professor Muhabbatzoda J.Q. was heard in connection with scientific, innovative and publishing activities of the university in 2023. It was emphasized that during the reporting period, the staff of the teaching staff of the university amounted to 889 people, of which 403 people have a degree. It was also emphasized that the theme "Twenty Years of Study and Development of Exact Sciences, Natural Science and Mathematics" was also highlighted, and it was noted that 3 out of 7 research projects for 2023-2027 have been implemented. In this context, it was said with satisfaction that in 2023, 2 students of the university won the second place in the nominations "Chemistry" and "Biology" in the national competition "Science-Enhancing Knowledge". In the reporting year, the university organized and held 2 high-level conferences with the participation of foreign representatives. Also the most notable achievements of the university for the reporting period are shown as follows:

1. The State Institution "Institute of Fundamental Medicine" of the University was proposed by direct order of the Great Leader of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon dated September 1, 2022 and established by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, May 29, 2023.

2. Since July 25, 2023, the review scientific-medical journal "Avicenna Bulletin" is indexed in the bibliographic and abstract database of scientific literature "Scopus", which is the first scientific-medical journal in the Central Asian region.

3. "National Patent Information Center" awarded the university with the V.I. Blinnikov Award was awarded.

In general, scientific-innovative activity of the university is evaluated as satisfactory, except for some shortcomings that can be corrected, and tasks for 2024 are defined.

Educational work is considered one of the daily and most important activities of the university, and in the 2022-2023 academic year, the university organized and conducted 599 extracurricular activities with the participation of 67525 students. Meanwhile, 15,907 students actively participated in 149 extracurricular activities. The purpose of holding events with the participation of students is to increase political and legal knowledge, sense of self-knowledge and creative abilities of young people, development of patriotism and patriotism of students, - said the vice-rector for educational work, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Qurbonbekova P.Q.

In the report of the deputy rector for treatment, candidate of medical sciences Qobilov Q.K. presented information about the activities of the treatment and diagnostic center and diagnostic and therapeutic work, and reported that this year 33744 people applied to the center with diagnosis. and treatment, compared to last year by 1908 people more. Further, the types of diseases, treatment methods and significant indicators of the University in this direction were reported. The results of the annual activity of the Center were also highlighted, it was emphasized that the Center has 28 dental devices, 10 computers, 2 printers, 1 visiograph, 2 electronic boards, 6 TV sets and 17 air conditioners to carry out the works. support of the University management, which are considered unique in the country.

To date, students from 37 countries are studying at the university, about 2,820 foreign citizens have graduated noted the head of the department of International relations, d.m.s., Dodkhoev J.S. At the same time, it was reported that from 2016 to 2023, the university signed agreements and contracts with 87 scientific and educational institutions abroad. In 2023 alone, 7 international projects contributing to the all-round development of the university are being implemented.
