On 16-17 April of 2021. The 5th grade students of the dentistry faculty Rahimov Tohir and Yoqubov Jasur participated on the International Medical Olympiad which was held by Samarkand Governmental Medical Institute of the Republic Uzbekistan. Due to the pandemic situation they participated in an online form. In the opening ceremony respected pro-rector of science and publishing works d.m.s. Mukhabbatov Dzhiyonkhon Kurbanovich had a congratulatory speech for the audience. Furthemore, the dean of dentistry faculty c.m.s. Yuldasheva Umeda Pulatovna and head of the operative dentistry department G.E.I. docent Tokhtakhodzaeva Saodat Tupalolovna have attended the opening ceremony.

The first theoretical part of the competition was performed in the test form and in the verbal form where the participators had 5 minute to answer for 2 questions.

In the second part, participators performed the practical part. In a case of our students, they performed restorations in the online form with light-curing materials on the models, respectively on the tooth with 1st and 5th class of Black defects. In the process, students obeyed all the rules of preparations using modern adhesive systems and contemporary composite filling materials. During restorations they considered all the features of the natural tooth including the color and anatomical shape.

In the third part of the competition, the students had a reports to present to the audience. Our respected students Jasur Yoqubov and Tohir Rahimov prepared and presented their reports respectively to the topics “Usage of Composite Materials “Megafill MH” in the restoration of the molar teeth” and “ Effectiveness of composite materials “TETRIC N-CERAM” in the restoration of the abfractions defects.

Eventually, our students got the honourable mentions certificates of the International Medical Olympiad which was held by Samarkand Governmental Medical Institute of the Republic Uzbekistan.

We bring our attitude to the respected head of the G.E.I. Avicenna TSMU G.E.I. d.m.s. professor Gulzoda Makhmadsho Kurbonali and Head of Samarkand Governmental Medical Institute d.m.s. professor Rizaev Jasur Alimjanovich for the given opportunity to share our knowledge and strengthen our friendship bonds. It was a pleasure and priceless experience for every participators. We hope in the upcoming future our friendship bond would get better and better, which help us to organize such kind of events to the growing generation.
