LET OUR FLAG WAVE
For several years, the proud Tajik people have celebrated November 24th as the Day of the State Flag of our dear Republic with special magnificence and solemnity. Our vibrant and high-flying Flag is the symbol of pride and freedom, and the high standing of us Tajiks is a reflection of freedom and creation, love for beauty and craftsmanship, commitment to science and education, wisdom and cultural dissemination, and in general — the security and prosperity of our beloved Homeland and every one of its citizens.
Following the attainment of national independence, the state symbols of our dear country — such as the National Anthem, the National Emblem, and the National Flag — became elements forming national identity. Thanks to them, after many historical deprivations, every Tajik people once again gained a sovereign state, a throne, and a power. The achievements of our Tajik people in prominent fields such as sports, art, culture, literature, and science are proven on the world stage by the raising of the National Flag. The National Flag is the guardian of the honor, name, success, and achievements of us Tajiks on the world stage. When athletes, artists, and generally, the scientific and literary accomplishments of every one of our compatriots are presented on the world stage and accepted by representatives of other nations, the National Flag of our country is immediately raised and unfurled in a sign of respect.
The pride of our people in their achievements in science, literature, and art on the world stage is expressed through the waving of the National Flag.
