KYRGYZSTAN DOES NOT WANT TO REMEMBER THE HISTORY OF THE PAST AND DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE SIGNED DOCUMENTS

The Kyrgyz state shares a 976-kilometer border with Tajikistan. Nearly 50 percent of it has not been marked since the time of the Soviet Union, which has caused border disputes between the two governments and their border inhabitants. In connection with this issue, the Founder of Peace and National   Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the National Security Service Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan, conducted several meetings and intergovernmental negotiations with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and its bodies, and all these meetings are understood by the people of our country. It is worth noting that the Kyrgyz Republic has border issues not only with the Government of Tajikistan, but also with the governments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, our friends and brothers.

Disputes between the countries of the world are raised in the order of negotiations with representatives of the highest instances of the countries, rather than in terms of one or another problem area. The border issue, which has repeatedly arisen many years after the collapse of the USSR and the independence of the bordering countries for about 30 years, is a matter of concern for citizens, especially residents of the bordering countries. The national government conducts parliamentary and state-wide negotiations to resolve these issues between the so-called friendly border countries and signs interstate documents and agreements related to the resolution of existing border problems.

Therefore, most analysts call the emerging problems a legacy of the former Soviet Union. At the time, residents of the borders of the member states of the Soviet Union did not protest, but after the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the newly independent countries are trying to clarify the borders of their territories. This identification is still incomplete after three decades, or the parties are ignoring signed agreements to gain more territory. Analyses show that the neighboring country does not want to recall the past and recognize the signed documents, but relies on unproven and undocumented evidence. Naturally, in this case it is not possible to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.

It is known that the unresolved border problems with a neighboring country are related to incorrect and biased decisions by the leadership of various agencies of Kyrgyzstan.

The top leadership of the Republic of Tajikistan has openly stated that it is in favor of solving border problems peacefully and through bilateral negotiations. To what extent the political elite of Kyrgyzstan supports this solution, there is no concrete answer yet, as in practice they only violate agreements and are biased against the neighboring country.
