THE 73RD ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE OF THE SEI “AVICENNA TAJIK STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY” WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES, BEGAN ITS WORK UNDER THE THEME “SCIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR THE WELL-BEING OF THE NATION”
The 73rd Annual Scientific and Practical Conference of the State Educational Institution “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University,” with the participation of prominent internal and foreign scientists and physicians, commenced its work on the morning of October 31, 2025, in Dushanbe under the theme “Science and Education for the Well-being of the Nation”.
The Administration of the State Educational Institution “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University,” guided by a deep sense of responsibility for implementing the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon concerning the improvement of the level and quality of education and upbringing in the country’s higher educational institutions as reflected in his speeches, messages, and meetings with teachers and students of higher professional educational institutions—has adopted the relevant decrees and resolutions as the guiding principles of its activity and is effectively implementing practical measures in the areas of education and upbringing, scientific research, medical services, and administrative management.
Scientific and innovative activity is regarded as one of the key criteria for determining the level of development and progress of higher professional institutions. In this regard, the University has consistently placed great emphasis on enhancing the quality and standard of scientific work, as well as on the practical application of significant scientific achievements in clinical practice. Consequently, the interest of the University’s faculty members in exploring various fields of medical science has been steadily increasing year by year, while the number of researchers and scholars—particularly among talented young specialists—continues to grow.
The organization and holding of the Conference “Science and Education for the Well-being of the Nation” serves as clear evidence of the expanding scientific and practical cooperation between internal and foreign scholars. The main objective of this scientific gathering is to create favorable conditions for constructive academic discussions with scientists and physicians, to foster an open environment for establishing friendly relations and mutually beneficial collaboration with leading educational and medical institutions abroad, and to promote the integration of modern medical achievements into clinical practice.

At the plenary session of the Conference, the achievements of well-known scientists from the Republic of Tajikistan and distinguished scholars from abroad were presented to a wide audience of participants. The session focused on discussing fundamental and applied research issues in medicine, modern technologies and innovations in theoretical and clinical medicine, and the integration of recent scientific advancements into the process of higher medical education. The outcomes and practical implications of these discussions will be further developed and utilized throughout the continuation of the Conference.
Scientists from Azerbaijan, China, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Greece, Spain, and Italy will deliver their presentations both individually and in online and offline formats. The symposia and sessions of the Conference will be chaired by distinguished scholars and professors of the State Educational Institution “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” as well as by leading experts from other prominent scientific institutions.
It is quite symbolic that each year the number of participants and submitted articles for the Conference continues to grow. This year, their total has reached 1800, of which 250 were submitted by representatives from foreign countries, both near and far. A total of 338 presentations by domestic and international scholars are scheduled to take place within the Conference’s symposia and sessions.
