Today, 17July 2023, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda met with the Minister of Health, Medicine and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Bahrom Ainullohi at the Hayat Regency Hotel in Dushanbe. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Tajikistan, officials of various health sectors of the country, deputy ministers of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, heads of a number of subordinate departments of the Ministry participated in the meeting.

At the meeting it was noted that cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran in various spheres, especially in the field of health care, which is the main attention of the leaders of the two countries and, is entering a new development level.

The Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan during the meeting with the Minister of Health, Medicine and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that in the Republic of Tajikistan the sphere of public health protection is in the center of attention of the state and the government of the country, and for the last decade has achieved significant successes, which testifies to the wise policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon.

During the mutual meeting, two sides have discussed expansion of cooperation in various spheres, including processing of medicinal plants of the Republic of Tajikistan, joint production of medicines, introduction of new methods of diagnostics and treatment, including Tajik doctors in the Islamic Republic of Iran and on retraining and advanced training courses, in this context, they expressed interest in expanding the exchange of experience between specialists of the two countries.

It was noted that the administration of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan paid vital attention to the production of medicines from local medicinal plants, and in order to develop the pharmaceutical industry in the country, many small and large enterprises have been put into operation.

It should be noted that in order to expand bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, a group of representatives of the health sector of this country, headed by the Minister of Health, Medicine and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited the Republic of Tajikistan on July 16 of the current year.

During his official visit Dr. Bahrom Ainullohi, Minister of Health, Medicine and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, “Istiqlol” Health Complex and Avicenna Hospital.

During the visiting the guests were acquainted with the conditions and opportunities of education and scientific research in this educational institution, as well as the level of medical services of the mentioned institutions.

It should be noted that the medical sphere of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially various fields of health care, medicine and medical science of this country, such as cardiac surgery, treatment of eye diseases and transplantology, are world famous.

In general, the visit of representatives of the health sector of the friendly and brotherly country Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan will give a serious impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries in various spheres of health care.

We remind that from October 23 to 27, 2022 and from May 5 to 12, 2023 the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda was on a business trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As part of his working trips, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan visited a number of educational and medical institutions of this country and exchanged views with his Iranian colleagues on the development of cooperation.
