From 11 to 13 November 2025, the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University hosted the International Educational Workshop on the Epidemiology of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and Biostatistics.

The workshop was conducted by leading experts from the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine (Russian Federation):

The three-day program included lectures and practical sessions on: introduction to NCD epidemiology, types of epidemiological studies, research design and study protocol development, data collection and analysis methods, basics of biostatistics, critical appraisal of scientific publications, clinical epidemiology, economics of NCD prevention. Participants actively engaged in discussions, practical tasks, and mini-group work. At the end of the workshop, certificates were awarded to all participants. The workshop was successfully conducted and significantly contributed to the professional development of the medical staff.
