Tajikistan has joined the membership as an active country and a participant in global processes, influential organizations of the world, one of which is the World Trade Organization. On December 10, 2012, an important historical list took place in the political and economic life of independent Tajikistan. On this day, the Republic of Tajikistan officially became a member of the World Trade Organization. Our state applied for membership in the World Trade Organization back in 2001, after 11 years of training, we became members of this organization, which can be explained by one of the stable and logically justified steps of our country's transition to the world economy. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon, spoke at a meeting of the General Council of the World Trade Organization held in December 2012 in Geneva of the Swiss Confederation and noted the date of the Republic of Tajikistan's accession to the World Trade Organization in the modern history of independent Tajikistan, which contributes to the further sustainable socio-economic development of society. Pascal Lamy, Director General of the World Trade Organization, expressed satisfaction with the recognition of the Republic of Tajikistan as a member of this organization and added that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has created an organizational basis at the appropriate level for organizing the work on the accession of the Republic of Tajikistan. Pascal Lamy noted that Tajikistan, with its entry into the world Trade Organization, has opened the way for further development and expansion of international trade and trade.

The World Trade Organization was established in 1995, defines the international arena as a trade organization, a single organizational and legal system of international trade, services and intellectual property. The World Trade Organization is the most influential international economic organization, which covers 90% of the world trade turnover in relation to the member countries of this organization. In addition, the organization considers the trade relations of the member countries at the level of world relations. The member States of this organization perform their functions by monitoring the implementation of the provisions of multilateral agreements, by conducting business negotiations, regulating trade in accordance with the organization's mechanisms, supporting developing countries and generally studying the economic policy of each individual member State. The entry of the Republic of Tajikistan into this authoritative organization of the world, noting the responsible persons of the organization on both sides, Tajikistan is a country that can show good results of its economic development, confirms these words from year to year the growth of trade of this country. Currently, more than 161 countries of the world have received membership in this organization. World practice shows that the admission process is quite complicated and it is necessary for observer countries to bring the current legislation into line with the requirements and norms governing the World Trade Organization, to negotiate with the Organization's member countries on the foreign trade system, conditions of access to the market of goods and services, trade battles of intellectual property, protection of the rights of producers and authors.

The main goals of the World Trade Organization:
