HEALTHY BODY - HEALTHY SPIRIT

HEALTHY BODY -  HEALTHY SPIRIT

At the beginning of the third millennium, human society has faced a number of global problems caused by changes in the rhythm and lifestyle of modern man, information and psycho-emotional overload, destruction of the harmonious relationship between man and Nature, increasing environmental pollution, changes in the nature of nutrition, etc.

In modern understanding, human health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, not only the absence of diseases and physical defects. The deterioration of children's health is particularly alarming. Every third child entering school has one or another chronic disease.

The main goal is to form a positive attitude to a healthy lifestyle. To ensure physical, psycho-emotional and moral health, i.e. optimal development of these spheres of personality.

Healthy lifestyle is a process of observance of certain norms, rules and restrictions in everyday life, contributing to the preservation of health, optimal adaptation of the organism to environmental conditions, high level of efficiency in educational and professional activities.

The concept of lifestyle allows to identify the value orientations of people, the reasons for their behavior, life style, conditioned by the way of life and standard of living. Lifestyle refers to the factors directly affecting health. There are several definitions of the concept of "healthy lifestyle", which are based on human behavior, ways of life activity, health maintenance, absence of bad habits, etc.

In defining the concept of a healthy lifestyle, it is necessary to take into account heredity, functional abilities of the organism and lifestyle.

The main components of a healthy lifestyle include: rational nutrition, everyday life, organization of work and rest, attitude to bad habits.

Also the following knowledge can be distinguished:

1) about the influence of heredity on individual human development;

2) the role of family upbringing and way of life on the formation of the way of life of the future generation;

3) about purposeful application of various forms of physical culture;

4) on purposeful mastering of hygiene and health protection skills;

5) the use of natural factors in health promotion (hardening) and civilized attitude to nature;

6) active propaganda on introduction of a healthy lifestyle in the life activity of each person and society.

However, for many people this knowledge has not yet become a guide to practical actions. Their introduction into people's daily lives requires a comprehensive approach, painstaking and purposeful activity on the part of many state institutions and organizations. Therefore, it is assumed that people themselves will be active in this direction. Following the norms and principles of a healthy lifestyle is the duty of every reasonable person. Conscious attitude to one's own health should become a norm of behavior, the main distinguishing feature of a cultured, civilized personality.

Thus, a healthy lifestyle is a style of life activity, corresponding to the hereditary features of the organism, conditions of human existence, focused on the culture of preserving, strengthening and restoring health, necessary for the performance of personally and socially significant functions. The basis for the formation of a healthy lifestyle is based on scientific knowledge, medical and preventive measures, a rational regime of the day, work and rest, motor activity, properly organized nutrition and the absence of bad habits.
