FLAG OF TAJIKISTAN - A SYMBOL OF UNITY AND UNITY OF THE NATION

On November 21 and 23, 2022, a mini-conference dedicated to the “Flag of Tajikistan - a symbol of unity and unity of the nation” was held at the Department of Foreign Languages with the participation of teachers. The teachers of the department spoke and noted that, today, the national flag as a symbol of Tajik statehood is present in all state, administrative offices, enterprises and institutions, schools and educational institutions. It is the duty of every citizen to respect the national flag, because the flag is a special symbol of independence, patriotism, ownership of the state and a symbol of the nation’s existence.

Students spoke on this topic: In November 1992, at the 16th session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan, where the future fate of the national state of Tajik people was outlined, the first steps were taken towards the national goals of peace, stability and national unity, and the measures necessary to provide capital to the people and protection of the inviolability of the values of the country, and the symbols of the first independent state were adopted - the Flag, and later the Coat of Arms.

Today we proudly recall those fateful historical moments, because those days were considered the first days of building a new state system and the formation of a free society in the country, i.e. the beginning of the construction of a legal and secular democratic state, as the main and sacred goal of the people of Tajikistan.

As a sign of respect and loyalty to our national flag, the President of the country respected Emomali Rahmon, by his order dated November 20, 2009, declared November 24 the Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan. In connection with the status of the Flag, the idea of building a huge flagship tower was proposed by the Head of State, which was fully supported by the public.

On August 30, 2011, the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan was opened on a 165-meter pole, which is the highest in the world, in the center of Dushanbe. The height of the flag itself is 30 m, and its length or width is 60 m.

Fortunately, with the honor of state independence, the Tajik people became the owners of the national flag, that is, the embodiment of the glorious past and bright future of the Tajik people.

Mukhamadieva Z.A., Khamroeva S.K., Rajabov R.R., Najmiddinova D.M. the teachers of foreign language department.
