In modern conditions, where the world society is plagued by various dangers and threats such as extremism, xenophobia, extremism and clash of civilizations, it is not possible to protect national values, culture and interests without a sense of patriotism and national self-awareness. Political scientists believe that patriotism and national self-awareness is the main condition for the survival and development of the state and nation. The complex situation of today's world forces us to love our Motherland more and to protect its territorial integrity from any danger and threat, because the protection of peace and stability and the independence and freedom of Tajikistan will allow us to develop more than before, life Let's achieve merit and a brighter future. In the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the Leader of the Nation, to the Supreme Assembly, from December 23, 2022, one of the important and central issues was patriotism. The complex situation of the modern world, the clash of interests, the imposition of a foreign culture using social networks by specific forces and the biased goals of extremist and radical organizations make each of us to love the Motherland more and to be always ready to protect every bit of its soil. Patriotism as an important factor in the development of national statehood should be nurtured and strengthened in the conscience of every self-aware and self-aware citizen. In the family, parents and teachers in educational institutions should teach children the sanctity of the Motherland. In order to increase the sense of patriotism of citizens during the years of independence, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan implemented important and specific measures. The establishment of republican competitions, creation of the best conditions for teaching and learning and a decent life increased the feeling of patriotism of the citizens many times. Adoption of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Education of Citizens' Patriotism" on December 24, 2022 is one of the next measures of the Government of the country in the direction of comprehensive education of citizens' patriotism.

Patriotism is a moral, political and social principle, it is considered to be love and loyalty to the motherland and the readiness of a citizen to put the interests of the motherland above personal interests. On the other hand, patriotism is respect for the values of patriotism and honest and devoted service to the Motherland and its protection. Patriotism is considered one of the good qualities of humanity in all eras.

The reality of the modern world shows that only those countries have achieved stable development, whose citizens have strengthened the feeling of patriotism in their hearts and directed all their efforts to the progress of their country.
