EXTREMISM IS UNDESIRABLE AND ANTI-HUMAN PHENOMENA

Today, there are threats in society that can destroy nations and civilizations. One of the main factors in the emergence of these contradictions is religious extremism, which violates the moral foundations of society and threatens the security of the region, the whole world, including the security of the Republic of Tajikistan. The emergence and spread of this undesirable phenomenon is caused by the low level of political, legal education, self-knowledge, insufficient education and upbringing, which puts society in a state of fear and despair. Extremist thinking, religious extremist groups and terrorist organizations as one of the main regional and global threats today that seriously threaten the security and existence of most Muslim countries.

Religious extremism is understood as stable religious positions or one of the types of modern religious consciousness. We can talk about religious extremism as a special event, since the beginning of its existence dates back to the 70-80s of the twentieth century. The “Taliban”, “Al-Qoida”, “Hizb-ut-Tahrir” and others are examples of this. The threat of this destructive phenomenon now transcends the national and regional level, becomes global or universal, and is reflected by legal entities and individuals in the form of truly leftist actions calling for anonymity, usurpation and seizure of powers, as well as incitement to racial, social and religious conflicts.

In this regard, the Founder of peace and national unity, Leader of the nation, His excellency Emomali Rahmon purposefully noted: "Terrorism and extremism have nothing to do with the religion of Islam, as the religion of Islam is pure and worships only purity, honesty and peace". In order to prevent extremist activity in the Republic of Tajikistan, the establishment, registration and activity of extremist organizations or organizations promoting extremism, propagating extremism, distributing extremist materials are prohibited.

At the same time, the Republic of Tajikistan cooperates with other States in accordance with international treaties in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, with their law enforcement agencies and special services, as well as with international organizations combating terrorism. In the light of peace and stability in the country, as well as to ensure its sustainable development, it should be considered that the development of religious extremism poses a serious threat to developing countries. This aspect of the issue prompts us to maintain political vigilance and national consciousness and encourages us to strengthen prevention and awareness-raising activities in this regard.
