In light of the attention and support of the state authorities and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University has been provided with the modern educational opportunities and technologies that meet the requirements of the world standard, the level of education, the effective work of teachers is increasing day by day. Globalization of education, development of science and modern requirements for educational process are taken into account at the University, as well as "Development Strategy of the ATSMU till 2025" is elaborated and implemented. It is necessary to mention that there are Service Rector, 2 departments, 12 departments, 8 sections, 15 centers, 5 faculties, 60 departments, 20 councils and 27 educational-scientific laboratories in the structure of the university. Also the Institute of Fundamental Medicine was created at the university. The university consists of 5 faculties: medical, pediatric, preventive medical, dental, pharmaceutical and 60 departments (36 clinical, 16 medical-theoretical and 8 general). The clinical departments of the university, i.e. 36 departments are located on the bases of 27 republican and city medical centers of Dushanbe. Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali ibn Sino on the basis of the license for educational activities in the field of medical and pharmaceutical education of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, № 0000087 from 10.06.2019 on 5 specialties, from in particular, "General Medicine", "Pediatrics", "Health Organization", "Dentistry" and "Pharmacy" are trained specialists. Training at the university is conducted in three state languages, Russian and English.
