CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ANTIQUITIES

Students of Group 27 of the fifth-year bachelor's faculty visited the National Museum of Antiquities of Tajikistan as part of the Phthisiopulmonology department’s educational and cultural activities.

During the visit, students explored a wide range of archaeological and historical artifacts that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage. The professional guidance provided by Muhaymin was especially valuable, offering clear and engaging explanations that gave students a brief but meaningful insight into the cultural, historical, religious, and intercultural connections of Central Asia.

Among the exhibits, stone artifacts, wooden sculptures, objects related to Greek mythology, and preserved wall paintings attracted particular interest due to their artistic and historical significance. The Buddha statue, one of the museum’s most notable exhibits, was received with great admiration by the students and stimulated discussion about the historical spread of religions and civilizations across the region.

Overall, the museum visit was a highly enriching educational experience, allowing students to deepen their understanding of regional history and cultural heritage while strengthening their appreciation of the historical context in which modern society and medicine develop.

Tilloeva Z.H., PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Phthisiopulmonology, continuously supports students’ professional and personal development by promoting cultural exchange activities, helping future physicians better understand the historical and social context of the communities they serve.
