Dear compatriots!

Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I congratulate all of you - the glorious people of Tajikistan and foreign compatriots on the occasion of the New Year 2024.

I wish every home, every family happiness, prosperity, new achievements and fulfillment of all your aspirations.

The year 2023 is considered another unforgettable and historic year for our Tajikistan.

Despite the negative impact of the financial and economic crisis and in very difficult and sensitive conditions of the modern world, the stable development of the national economy was ensured in the past year for the sake of achieving the strategic goals of the country in the volume of 8 percent, which is one of the best indicators.

During this period, more than 500 production enterprises and workshops were built with the aim of accelerated industrialization of the country, and the volume of industrial production was brought to 43 billion somoni.

Also, for the first time in the history of Tajikistan, electricity production amounted to more than 21 billion kilowatt-hours.

In order to protect the country's food security and ensure the abundance of the consumer market, farmers of the republic effectively utilized the available opportunities, especially water and land, increased agricultural production and brought its volume to more than 48 billion somoni.

To further improve the condition of highways and turn Tajikistan into a transit country, work on reconstruction and construction of transport infrastructure was continuously continued within the framework of 17 state investment projects.

During 2023, the Government of the country directed all its efforts to create decent living conditions for the citizens of the republic and, using available resources and opportunities, implemented a number of measures to address social problems - science and education, culture and health care, issues related to youth and gender policy, as well as to support low-income and vulnerable segments of society.

The creation and commissioning of hundreds of social facilities, including educational institutions, hospitals and health centers and other health care, cultural and sports facilities, contributed to solving many problems of the country's population.

With satisfaction and pride I would like to state that thanks to the selfless labor of the glorious people of Tajikistan, especially patriotic entrepreneurs and people of generous soul, 3100 production and social facilities were built in the outgoing year, which led to greater prosperity and improvement of cities, districts and rural areas of the country, as well as providing jobs for 190 thousand of our compatriots and raising the level and improving the quality of life of the population.

I would also like to remind that the year 2023 has become especially significant in terms of strengthening the foundations of state independence, worthy representation of the country, strengthening the authority and reputation of Tajikistan in the international arena.

During this period, the support of Tajikistan's initiatives by the international community has become very important not only for us, but also for all countries of the region and the world.

In addition to Tajikistan's initiatives to address global challenges, the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly unanimously supported our regular initiative to declare 2025 the "International Year of Glaciers".

On the basis of the adopted resolution, as well as Tajikistan's proposals to declare March 21 "International Day for the Conservation of Glaciers", it was decided to establish an International Glacier Conservation Trust Fund under the United Nations and to hold a high-level United Nations conference on this topic in Dushanbe in 2025.

This important and historic event is undoubtedly a proof of recognition of the valuable role and high status of independent Tajikistan among the countries of the world.

Dear compatriots!

In the passing year, we, the people of Tajikistan, solemnly celebrated the 30th anniversary of the 16th Session of the Supreme Soviet, with which the salvation and revival of state independence began.

The significance and historical role of the 16th Session of the Supreme Council were reflected in detail in the speech of the Head of State.

Now I emphasize once again that this great historical event is the starting point for the restoration of constitutional authority, peace and tranquility, political stability, national unity, the establishment of an independent Tajik state and the achievement of our current successes.

I am confident that in the new year of 2024, our patriotic people will further strengthen and expand their efforts to improve and create, develop the state, prosper the land inherited from our ancestors and improve the living conditions of every family in the country.

Today's turbulent world prompts every proud and patriotic person, people of generous soul, and in general the entire people of the country to make every effort to protect the independence and freedom, further progress of our independent Tajikistan and improvement of our beloved homeland.

I am confident that all of us will continue to take steady steps to ensure a happy life for our people and achieve new achievements through our joint efforts.

Once again, I sincerely congratulate the proud people of the country and our compatriots abroad, endowed with a firm and steadfast will, on the occasion of the New Year 2024, and wish each of you health and happiness, grace and blessings of life, and our dear Tajikistan - even more development and progress.
