CELL PHONES AND ITS IMPACT ON HUMAN LIFE

CELL PHONES AND ITS IMPACT ON HUMAN LIFE

Smartphones (cell phones) have become an integral part of human life. We use them for work, communication, entertainment and much more. However, prolonged use of a smartphone can have a negative impact on a person's vision.

The main factors that affect perception when using a smartphone are:

- Distance close to the eye. The screen of a smartphone is usually about 20-30 centimeters away from the eye. This distance is much closer than the distance from which we normally look at distant objects. At such a close distance, the muscles of the eye are forced to constantly focus on the image. This can lead to the development of myopia, astigmatism, and other vision defects.

- Blue rays. Smartphone screens emit blue light, which can be harmful to the eyes. Blue light can contribute to the development of yellow spot degeneration, which is one of the leading causes of vision loss in old age.

Dimmed light. We often use smartphones in the dark or in dimly lit rooms. This can lead to eye fatigue, dryness and even headaches.

To reduce the negative impact of smartphone on your eyes, you should follow the following rules:

- Do not stare at a smartphone screen for more than 20 minutes at a time. Take a break very 20 minutes to give your eyes a rest.

- Keep your smartphone at least 20-30 cm away from your eyes.

- Use the blue light filter function if your smartphone has it.

A few additional tips for maintaining good vision:

- Get regular preventive medical checkups.

- Eating a healthy diet with essential vitamins and minerals is very important for eye health.

- Be physically active and avoid stressful situations.

- By following these simple rules, you will be able to maintain good eyesight for many years to come.
